Advisor and Facilitator Workshop

World Cares Center's

Advisor and Facilitator Workshop

This two day boutique workshop brings together World Cares Center (WCC) Advisors and Adjunct Facilitators as well as its leading supporters in the field of Disaster Preparedness and Response. This highly interactive two day workshop will engage participants in sharing their expertise to enhance WCC's workshops and guide the strategic direction as we move forward in our disaster preparedness services.

Inspired from experiences in the field, and nearly a decade of research, WCC has developed a comprehensive training model and has delivered the first of three phases on a local, regional, and national level. The national launch of World Cares Center’s Disaster Preparation and Trauma Mitigation Training Program was in 2005. We are proud to have the opportunity to present to our supporters and advisors our progress and ask for their insight to guide our future.

WCC’s mission is to foster safe and effective disaster response and resilient recovery within communities. To achieve its mission WCC trains both the community members who come out of their jobs and homes to help during emergencies and disasters, and the emergency managers that are tasked with managing disaster response. Through its culturally sensitive training program, WCC connects with local businesses and community leaders to produce a program that is relevant to the specific needs of the participants.
