We hope that you and your family are safe and that your homes have weathered the storm. Over the past few days, Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene ripped across the eastern United States from North Carolina to Vermont, including New York City and the Tri-State Area. As these events unfolded, we at World Cares Center witnessed the tremendous human spirit and resilience displayed by residents in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
