NJCleanUp For Volunteer Organizations
This form is for organizations providing free cleanup services to those most in need in New Jersey post Hurricane Irene.
Thank you for offering your services to the New Jersey residents most in need who are requesting clean up assistance:
World Cares Center is a proud to be working with NJ VOAD, NJ211 and NJ OEM to coordinate Hurricane Irene cleanup efforts. World Cares Center looks forward to communicating with you on a regular basis and working together to help the organizations on the ground and the individuals we collectively serve. The following bullets outline the process for connecting agency resources to individuals in need:
- WCC will create a database of residents that are in need of service, gathering requests from the Long Term Recovery Committees, referrals, and previous contact with the home owners.
- WCC will then seek to match the requests with a volunteer agency providing the needed service in the area.
- WCC will make the call to the volunteer organization or e-mail them, which ever communication type is preferred.
- WCC will ask for a commitment to either an assessment or to provide service to the individual in need and the day/time they will arrive at the site.
- WCC will then communicate that day/time to the individual in need. We will only call the volunteer organization if the individual cannot be there to meet the volunteer organization providing the needed service
- After the assessment and/or service is completed, the volunteer agency providing the needed service should call WCC at 1 800 903 1417 or e-mail outreach@worldcares.org for your updates. *** The after-action call is crucial to ensuring that organizations are not duplicating efforts or arriving on scene and finding another organization has responded. Please help us to help you!
In order to compile all of our resources and inform our call center team on where to refer requests, we are asking for the following information in order to best connect your team with individuals in need.
Before starting any work please make contact with the County Office of Emergency Management at http://www.ready.nj.gov/about/association.html
