4. Private dinner and beer tasting party for eight with John Sierp, Chris Basso, Wüsthof Knife Set, and Lodge Cast Iron Skillet

Treat your friends to a gourmet home-cooked meal and a private craft beer tasting—you invite seven guests, and let FDNY culinary star John Sierp and Brooklyn Brewery’s Assistant Brewmaster Chris Basso do the rest.  Start off the evening with a cooking demo from the 2005 Iron Skillet Cook Off champion, who also took the crown at the 2007 Gallagher’s Steak House FDNY grill-off.  You may have seen John on television cooking his award-winning Rigatoni Alla Rescigno with Crab Bruschetta with Martha Stewart on the Martha Stewart Show, or serving as a guest judge on the firefighters’ edition of Throwdown with Bobby Flay.  Outside the Ladder 169 firehouse, these days you’ll find him busy in the kitchen at M-15, Tribeca’s newest restaurant and bar, where John himself designed the kitchen and catering menus with his own signature dishes, an upscale and eclectic mix of Italian-American, Asian, and traditional bar fare.  Learn from this FDNY chef with Lodge’s Signature Series stainless steel-handled cast-iron skillet, and Wüsthof’s Classic Ikon 8 piece Knife Block Set. 5. Two photographs by Peter B. Kaplan: The Statue of Liberty and The Twin Towers

Peter B. Kaplan was born in Manhattan, NYC and raised in Great Neck, Long Island. He assisted many of New York's top commercial photographers and because of his avid interest in nature and wildlife photography, studied under Ansel Adams, Bob Sisson and Doug Faulkner.  His interest started to shift to architecture upon completion of the World Trade Center in 1974 when his specialty of "Height Photography" was born. Mr. Kaplan's photographs have been placed in time capsules under the Empire State Building for its 50th Anniversary and the Brooklyn Bridge for it 100th Anniversary, and also in the spire of the Chrysler Building during its 50th Anniversary Restoration. He was awarded the title of the "Preferred Photographer" of the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Foundation, Inc. where he was a volunteer for ten years, starting in 1982 when they started the restoration for the 100th Anniversaries of these two world renowned monuments. He has created over 125,000 images, while painstakingly documenting every aspect, of the Statue of Liberty's historic restoration. He was honored when the United States and French Governments selected his image for the Statue of Liberty 100th Anniversary Commemorative Stamp issued July 4, 1986. His images were also selected to appear on 170 different commemorative stamps in thirteen other nations.
