Emergencies and disasters come in many shapes and sizes. At times, catastrophic events that impact an entire community occur. When an emergency expands beyond the scope of a local fire and involves entire neighborhoods or cities, our approach to disaster response must be adjusted. World Cares Center’s Disaster Volunteering II assesses participants ability to integrate effectively in official disaster response and recovery efforts so they may effectively help their community. .
